Twilight of the Gods

At Dawn We Ride

At dawn we ride, with fiery hearts
Our steel waits by our side
Mother earth this day, shall mourn and weep
And ring to our battle cry
My battle cry

The acrid sweat of driven steeds
Wild eyed with drawn teeth
Our banner black, it flutters grim
Triumphant in the shattered light
It fills my heart with pride, with pride

So turn the Tiber red
So raise their city to the ground
So sack Rome as the Gods look on
And burn it to ash

Heathen’s revenge
At dawn we ride
Our steel sits by our side
Mother earth this day, she will cry
And the wind shall carry my battle cry
My battle cry
